(*This event has been rescheduled in two sessions from December, 2022.*)
The phrase "Jesus died for our sins" or similar words occur throughout the New Testament, along with the Bible's fundamental declaration: "God is Love". How did we get to this self-contradictory place? The idea of an exacting God demanding Jesus' blood sacrifice and death in payment for our sins existing alongside the God of Jesus Christ who became one of us and died precisely to show us how dearly God loves us. These conflicting beliefs challenge us to ask:
Who is God to ME?
Two sessions January 25 and February 1, at 10 AM.
Discussion led by the Rev. Pam Worthington.
